2-9. Cleaning When the Heads are Clogged
Procedures
1. Turn the power off.
2. Remove the upper lid.
(Refer to Section 2-2-1.)
3. Remove the plate MD.
(Refer to Section 2-2-2.)
4. Remove the cassette compartment.
(Refer to Section 2-3.)
5. Loosen the two screws and remove the upper drum
cover.

6. Hold the cleaning cloth moistened with cleaning fluid

Be sure to rotate the inner drum counterclockwise and
clean the rotary heads along the circumference. Do not
rotate the inner drum in the direction opposite to the
specified direction (clockwise) or clean it in the
vertical direction. This may damage the rotary heads
and the brush/slip ring assembly.
