6-2-1. Video Output Level Adjustment
Preparation
On the set-up menu ITEM 713, set as follows (for NTSC):

Procedures
STEP 1
1. Connect the waveform monitor to COMPOSITE 1
OUT connector.
2. Play back the 100% color bars portion (00:00 - 10:00)
of the alignment tape ZR5-1/1P.
ZR5-1
: for NTSC
ZR5-1P : for PAL
3. On the menu of maintenance mode, set as follows:
A2: AUDIO/VIDEO ADJUST
A20: VPR VR 0
4. Adjust at VIDEO 1 LEVEL.
(When the search dial is turned while pressing the JOG
button, the adjustment data can be changed.)
COMPOSITE 1/2 OUT
A
A = 100 ± 1 IRE (714 ± 7 mV p-p) (for NTSC)
A = 700 ± 7 mV p-p (for PAL)

STEP 2
1. Connect the waveform monitor to COMPOSITE 2
OUT connector.
2. Play back the 100% color bars portion (00:00 - 10:00)

3. On the menu of maintenance mode, set as follows:

4. Adjust at VIDEO 2 LEVEL.

STEP 3
1. Save adjustment data.
2. On the menu of maintenance mode, set as follows:
A2F: NV-RAM CONTROL
3. Execute SAVE ALL ADJUST DATA.
4. After adjustment is completed, be sure to restore the
setting datas of ITEM 713 to user's setting datas.
