1-9. Search Dial Mode Switching
There are two kinds of operation to switch the search dial of
this unit to jog mode or shuttle mode. Set the search dial of
this unit to your operation.
Search dial pressing
Press the dial, the VTR toggles between shuttle and jog
modes.
SHUTTLE/JOG button selecting
Press the SHUTTLE button, the VTR is switched to shuttle
mode. Press the JOG button, the VTR is switched to jog
mode.

Prohibiting search dial pressing from switching
the mode
1. Turn off the POWER.
2. Fix a lower control panel at 90 degrees.
(Refer to Section 2-6.)
3. Loosen a screw on the backside of the search dial as
shown in the figure.
4. Slide the mode selection plate in the direction indicated
by the arrow until it touches the A portion.
