9 Other functions

9.1

Sleep Timer

The sleep timer automatically switches the Viola 2 C IR to Standby after the set time.
>
Select Menu > Main menu > Sleep timer and press the Selection knob.
>
Use the Selection knob to select a period after which the Viola 2 C IR should
switch off. You can choose between Sleep off, 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes.
>
Press the Selection knob to accept the setting.
When the sleep timer is active, a moon symbol appears on the display
showing the time still available.
9.2

Alarm

The alarm switches on the Viola 2 C IR at the set time. 2 alarm times can be
programmed. The description of how to programme Alarm 1 serves as an example.
9.2.1

Setting the alarm

>
Select Menu > Main menu > Alarm and press the Selection knob.
>
Use the Selection knob to select an alarm you want to set up, then press the
Selection knob.

The specific alarm parameters can then be set.
>
Select a value that you want to change by turning the Selection knob and
open it by pressing the Selection knob.
>
Change the retrieved value by turning the Selection knob and accept the new
setting by pressing the Selection knob.
Repeat
>
Here you can select from Off (alarm is switched off), Daily (every day of the
week), Once, Weekdays (Mon - Fri) or Weekends (Sat and Sun).
Time and date
>
Here you can set the alarm time, firstly the hours and then the minutes.
If Repeat Once has been selected, you must enter the date before setting the
time.

Mode
>
Then enter the source. The available options are Buzzer, Internet Radio, DAB
or FM.
Station
If you have selected Internet Radio, DAB or FM, you can then enter whether
or not you want to be woken up by the last station listened to or by one
from your Favourites list.
Volume
>
Lastly you can then set the alarm volume.
Saving
>
The alarm is only saved in the memory after you have selected Save.
The time must be entered for the alarm to function properly. For more details,
see Section 10.1.2.
When an alarm is active, an alarm symbol appears on the display.
9.2.2

Switching off the alarm after being woken up

>
Press the On/Off button to switch the alarm off.
If you want to activate the snooze function, press the Selection knob
repeatedly, when an alarm is active, to select the desired snooze duration.
