z Never attempt to modify the handset or its
accessories.
„ May cause fire, bodily injury or malfunction.
„ If your device has been modified previously, it will
only be accepted for the repair as long as you agree
that we restore the device to its original state.
However, repairs may be refused depending on the
extent of the modification.
The following cases may be considered as a
modification.
y Stickers etc. are applied to the LCD or keys
y Decorations are made to the handset with
adhesive agent etc.
y Exterior parts etc. are replaced with those which
are not standard DOCOMO products
„ Repairs for any malfunction or damage caused by
such modifications will incur fees, even during the
warranty period.
z Do not peel off the model nameplate attached to the
handset. The nameplate functions as a certification
that the equipment conforms to the prescribed
technical standards. If the contents of the nameplate
cannot be conformed such as when it is removed or
replaced on purpose, repairs may be refused because
conformity to the standards cannot be determined.
z Information stored in your handset, such as the
settings of various functions, may be cleared or reset
if your handset is damaged, repaired or mishandled. If
this occurs, please re-enter the information or re-
specify the settings. Packet communication charges
may be incurred.
z When the handset is repaired, the Wi-Fi MAC address
and Bluetooth address may be changed regardless of
the faulty part.
z Keep cash cards and other objects likely to be affected
by magnetic waves away from the handset. They may
become unusable.
z If the inside of the handset gets wet or becomes
moist, immediately turn off the power though the
handset provides waterproof performance. Then, visit a
repair counter. The handset may not be repaired
depending on its condition.
Customer-created data and downloaded

z Created, imported, downloaded data, etc. may be
modified or deleted when changing models or repairing
the handset. DOCOMO shall not be liable for any
modification or deletion of content. DOCOMO shall also
not be liable for reimbursement of packet
communication charges that are incurred as a result of
redownloading data. DOCOMO may, at our
convenience, exchange your handset for a substitute
in lieu of repairs. However, in this case, we cannot
transfer these data etc. to replaced products except
for some data.
