The chin support is not moving correctly.
CAUSE A
The movement not working correctly may be due to
SOLUTION A
a fault in the
• motor,
• motor cable,
• R3400 IO board.
Use service command "drivemotor j manual" to test
whether the motor is working properly. If the chin
support is moving the problem is probably in posi-
tion detection, see CAUSE B. Otherwise one of the
components listed above is faulty. Continue with in-
specting cables and connectors. Replace parts one
by one if needed.
Position detection showing incorrect values.
CAUSE B
Use service command "drivemotor j manual" and
SOLUTION B
the chin support up/down buttons to drive past the
positions where the opto switches are activated/de-
activated. Check for messages in the s2terminal in-
dicating the switches changing state. If no such
messages are seen, there is a problem with the
EG100 opto board or the cable between the opto
switch and the R3400 IO board. Check the parts
listed and replace if needed.
