7.4 Recorder Failures

Phenomenon
Press Record but no
paper is out.
Alarm is displayed
onscreen as "out of
paper", but there is
still paper in the
drawer.
Trace
on
the
recording paper is
blurred or tilts; or it
is blank on the paper.
Possible Cause
No paper in the drawer.
The drawer is open.
Paper is jammed.
Recording control board failure.
Recorder connection failure.
Gear box/ gear failure.
Main control board failure.
The
correct
printer
category was not selected.
The detector of recording paper
is contaminated.
Detector
of
recording
failure.
The drawer is not fastened up.
Inexact loading of the recording
paper.
The two screw nuts on the print
head are not adjusted to balance.
Recording head failure.
Load paper and close the drawer.
Close the drawer.
Open the drawer and remove the
paper. Reload paper and close the
drawer.
Replace
board.
Check all the connections.
Replace the gear box or the gear.
Replace the main control board.

Set in Factory Maintain. Turn on
the printer mode. If the printer is
Unicode, select U, otherwise E.
Clean the detector of recording
paper.

Replace the detector of recording
paper.
Fasten up the drawer.
Load the recording paper exactly.
Adjust the screw nuts.
Replace the recording head.
