Ideally, the unit should be mounted level on a solid concrete slab with anti-vibration pads between
unit feet and concrete. However, the ZX condensing unit has also been designed for wall mounting
on suitable brackets. In this case it is equally important that the dimensional guidelines given above
are followed and that additional consideration is given for possible air recycling if units are stacked
on top of each other. Wall mounting brackets are not part of the standard delivery.
Another factor to consider in finding a good installation site is the direction of the prevailing wind. For
example, if the air leaving the condenser faces the prevailing wind, the air flow through the condenser
can be impeded, causing high condensing temperatures and ultimately resulting in reducing the life
of the unit. A baffle is a remedy for this situation.
