  • Page 4 Communication ports Jetsort LX is equipped with at least 3 Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports. These are located on the back panel of the machine. USB ports are used to install communications protocol updates and peripheral devices such as printer, remote display or external data input devices.

  • Page 9 GENERAL DATA ENTRY and MEDIA DATA ENTRY sub-screens can be configured in Setup for “Auto,” “on Demand” or “off.” When “on Demand,” they can be opened by operator as needed when processing coin. When “Auto,” they open automatically at the start of a new batch or sub-batch, or after pressing Continue, and data must be entered prior to completing coin processing.
  • Page 10 Entering ID Information Unique ID information may be entered using the GEnERAL DATA EnTRY screen for each sub-batch, if required. names or numbers may be used as IDs. Entered IDs appear on the CoUnT screen ID drop-down menu. After entering a new ID, when the transaction is complete, the new ID is added to the drop-down menu on the CoUnT screen and is available for selection when the next transaction is started.
  • Page 11 Viewing day totals by ID To view day total by ID: 1. on the CoUnT screen, select Day (button is hidden behind drop-down menu in figure at right). 2. Select the desired ID from the drop-down menu. Day Total is displayed for selected ID. To view day totals for all IDs: 1.
  • Page 12 Processing rejected coin Process Rejects allows operators to reset the reject count to zero and re-run rejected coins. False rejects are accepted and added to the batch total. The true number of rejected coins is then reflected on the report at the end of the batch. If at least 1 coin in the batch is rejected, and Process Rejects is enabled in setup, the Process Rejects button appears when End Batch is pressed.
  • Page 13 Using Verify mode Verify mode counts bag contents without affecting batch, sub-batch or day totals. Use Verify as required to recheck bag contents or to count coin without adding the value to machine totals. 1. Ensure all errors have been cleared. 2.
  • Page 14 Select Yes to begin reconcile. Background color changes and “Reconcile” appears in the upper left corner of screen. Jetsort LX recounts the coins, detecting any difference between the amounts counted up until the table or coin jam occurred, and the recount.
  • Page 15 Changing bags Perform bag management tasks on the CoUnT screen. Relevant features are numbered below and correspond to descriptions in the table that follows.   • Page 19 Clear printer jam/replace paper: thermal printer For Jetsort LX machines with thermal printers, perform the following steps to clear a jam or replace the printer paper. If your unit has an impact printer, follow the guidelines on the next page.

  • Page 21 Unlatch the sort disk Sort disk rotates and laser light is present when motor is running. To prevent injury, do not defeat safety interlock switches and avoid direct eye contact with laser. In the event of a table or coin jam, or to remove coins or debris from the disk pad when using reconcile mode, it may be necessary to raise the sort disk.
  • Page 22 36. Latch the sort disk Before operating Jetsort LX, latch the sort disk as shown. DO nOT attempt to force the sort disk onto the sort pad for latching. If the disk resists being lowered into position, raise it again.

  • Page 27 Transaction History Report The TRAnSACTIon HISToRY REPoRT screen allows viewing of on-screen reports. Transactions are displayed chronologically in columns, starting from the most recent at the far left. Use the scroll bar as needed to view transactions.   • Page 29 Calendar Day Totals Report Prints counted coin data for specified calendar day(s). The CALEnDAR DAY ToTALS REPoRT screen database contains only days when coin is counted. If a date does not appear, no coin was counted during that 24-hour period. The on-screen report provides the detail for each day of processing.
  • Page 30 3. PRInT ALL DAYS (without entering a date range) prints a summary for all days. Report includes the Date, Value, Unit and Fee totals for each day, and aggregate totals for the period requested. Be advised - the report generated may be very long. 4.
  • Page 31 Business Day Totals Report The BUSInESS DAY ToTALS REPoRT screen prints coin data for a specific business day/ time period. The business day can be set up for a customer-defined interval. For example, the “business day” can be set for Monday 8 am to Friday 5 pm if the machine is used continuously all week.
  • Page 32 ID transaction data is cumulative by the ID. An ID cannot be cleared individually. Clearing the business day clears batch and sub-batch data for all IDs at once.
