To clear the hold comm poll error on a Cummins Allison JetSort 1000 series, ensure the computer is polling the JetSort for data. The JetSort expects a response from the computer; if it does not receive one, a COMM LINK ERROR can occur. Verify the communication setup:
1. Confirm the computer is set to poll the JetSort (Polled mode). 2. Ensure communication cables are properly connected. 3. Check that the correct Comm Mode (e.g., Norm.) is selected on the JetSort. 4. Ensure the ACK key is set appropriately (ACK+ if acknowledgment is needed). 5. If the issue remains, contact your local Cummins Allison office.
If the error persists despite correct setup, the communication link may need further troubleshooting.
