2.5 Wireless connections

Users of wireless systems are responsible for
compliance with the applicable directives and
restrictions in the country concerned.
A "wireless system" in the sense of the European
Directive RED 2014/53/EU (Radio Equipment Directive)
is an electrical or electronic product (component) that
transmits and/or receives radio waves as permitted
for the purpose of wireless communication and/or
radiolocation.
WLAN and Bluetooth instructions can be found in the
separate instructions "Data protection, data security,
wireless connections".

These instructions must be carefully studied
prior to start-up, connection and operation of the
KTS 525 (KTS 5 Series) and must always be observed.
2.6 Bluetooth
2.6.1 Bluetooth USB adapter
The Bluetooth USB adapter included in the scope of
delivery is inserted into the PC/laptop and provides a
radio link to components of KTS 525 (KTS 5 Series)
capable of wireless communication.
2.6.2 Troubleshooting

In the event of problems with the Bluetooth radio
link, refer to the information in the separate
instruction "Bluetooth USB Adapter".

3. Description of unit
3.1 Application
The KTS 525 (subsequently called KTS module) is a
module for control unit diagnosis.

3.2 Prerequisites
The KTS 525 (KTS 5 Series) can only be operated from
a computer and with the ESI[tronic] software.
3.2.1 Hardware

Computer with operating system Windows 7,
Windows 8 or Windows 10

DVD drive

CPU (processor) with 2 GHz or more
R
Hard drive with at least 5 GB of free storage space
R
4 GB of RAM or more
R
Two vacant USB ports for the Bluetooth USB adapter
and for a USB connecting cable
The KTS 525 can be used with the following Bosch
products:

FSA 740, FSA 760
R
BEA 810, BEA 840, BEA 850, BEA 550, BEA 950
3.2.2 Software
In order to operate the KTS 525, the current ESI[tronic]
software must be installed and enabled on the PC/
laptop. Extra costs apply in this case.
