Electronic parts catalogue .
The colour-marked links which were factory-fitted and provi‐
♦
ded as replacement parts earlier have been discontinued
gradually as of week 45/2013. In addition, the links are not any
longer pre-installed on the control motors provided as replace‐
ment parts.
There are various available versions of control motors and the
♦
corresponding links. In some cases there are very slight dif‐
ferences which may not be obvious at first glance. However,
if the wrong version of a control motor or link is installed, prob‐
lems may occur not before the basic setting is performed.
Removing
– Remove centre console trim in left footwell (other parts of cen‐
tre console do not need to be removed) ⇒ General body
repairs, interior; Rep. gr. 68 ; Compartments/covers; Over‐
view of fitting locations - compartments/covers
– Remove footwell vent on driver side
– Remove data bus diagnostic interface - J533- ⇒ Electrical
system; Rep. gr. 97 ; Control units; Removing and installing
data bus diagnostic interface .
– Detach wiring harness (if fitted) from retainer -2-.
– Unscrew bolts -1- and -3- (9 ± 1.3 Nm).
– Remove bracket -2-.
– Mark connector of left temperature flap control motor - V158-
-C- and disconnect.
– Remove bolts -3- from left temperature flap control motor -
V158- -C-.
