When attaching cover -1- to padding -2-, use upholstery pliers - V.A.G 1634- .
Note
For vehicles where the front passenger seat backrest folds down
complete, the zip of the backrest cover can be closed using a zip
closer: ⇒ Electronic Parts Catalogue .
1.4 Renewing heater elements of seat heat‐
ing
Heater elements of the backrest and seat padding are bonded to
the padding.
If one of the heater elements is defective, pinch off the cable of
the defective seat heating. Then, bond a new heater element right
over the old one:
