3.10.1 Removing
– Switch off ignition.
Vehicles with rear side airbag:
– Disconnect vehicle battery ⇒ Electrical system; Rep. gr. 27 ;
Disconnecting and reconnecting battery .
All vehicles:
– Remove roof end strip trim (Estate)
– Remove lock carrier cover (Estate)
– Fold left bench seat and backrest forwards.
– Remove side padding:
♦ With rear side airbags
♦ with no rear side airbags
– Remove side trim panel in luggage compartment (Estate):
♦ right ⇒ page 173
♦ left ⇒ page 170
– Pull trim -1- inwards and out of mountings in D-pillar and bead‐
ing of rear lid seal -arrow A-.
Note
For reasons of clarity, the clip -2- is shown removed.
– Pull trim forwards and out of the two clips -3- -arrow B-.
