Material damage caused by working on the door leaf:Dismantle and remove the lock before working on
the door leaf, for example when drilling or milling.
Impaired function caused by incorrect rebate gap:Adjust the rebate gap ("Explanation of terms",
page 38) appropriately ("Technical data", page 59)
Material damage caused by unsuitable strike plate:Select and assemble the strike plate so that it always
provides a stop face and sliding surface for the latch.
Material damage caused by incorrect handling during transport:Do not lift or carry the door leaf by the
door handles.
Material damage caused by opening:Do not open the lock as this will damage it and void the warranty
("Warranty", page 64).
Material damage caused by painting: Never paint over the lock or strike plate with paint or other sub-
stances.
Protect against water and moisture:Water will impair the function of the lock.
