6. Raise the jack until the top surface of the bench just touches the bottom of the cold plate.
7. Loosen the four captive M5 screws securing the LOS to the baseplate (four corners).
Exercise caution before and during removal of the screws. The jack must be high enough to
prevent the LOS falling or dropping.
8. Slowly lower the bench jack until sufficient clearance is achieved above the LOS to safely
remove the jack from under the projector without any contact occurring.
9. Move the bench jack out from under the projector and remove the LOS.
Take great care when sliding the LOS off of the bench jack, as the upper platform surface of the
bench jack is slippery.
Optional method for removing the LOS
An optional method for accessing the LOS is to place the projector on its top face, rather than use the
bench jack method.
To use the alternate method, follow these steps.
1. Gently lift and place the projector on its top face. Two people are required to do this.
2. Attach the two handles, included in the service kit, into the locations shown by the callout
arrows in the graphic above and tighten the two screws per handle (total of four screws).
3. Loosen four captive M5 screws securing the LOS to the baseplate (four corners).
Exercise caution before and during removal of the screws. The LOS must not be allowed to fall
or drop.
4. Carefully remove the LOS.
