Removing and Installing

Removing the ignition module
– Remove the shroud - see 5.1.
– Remove the clutch housing - see
4.1.
 Disconnect short circuit wire (2)
and ground wire (3).
– Turn crankshaft so that flywheel
magnets face away from the
ignition module.
 Take out the screws (1).
Note:
Spacer washers are fitted between
the ignition module and cylinder.
Collect them when removing the
module.
– Remove the ignition module.
Install in the reverse sequence.

Note: Flywheel magnets must face
away from the ignition module.
 Place the module (2) with spacer
washers in position, insert
screws (1) but do not tighten
them down yet.
– Secure the ground wire to the left
mounting screw.
 Slide the setting gauge (3)
1111 890 6400 under the arms of
the ignition module, rotate
flywheel so that magnets face the
module.
– Press the ignition module against
the setting gauge and tighten the
screws to 5 Nm (3.7 lbf.ft).

– Remove the shroud - see 5.1.
– Remove complete clutch - see
4.1.
 Unscrew the spark plug and fit
locking screw (1) 4170 893 1200
in its place. Turn crankshaft
counterclockwise until piston
butts against the locking screw.
 Release and remove nut (2) from

flywheel (1).
