Special Servicing Tools, Servicing Aids

Socket, T27 – 0812 542 2104
Torque wrench – 5910 890 0302
Screwdriver, T27x200 – 5910 890 2415
Open-end wrench, 8 mm

Removing the Powerhead

Preparations, @ 3.1.

Remove handlebar together with control handle and

elbow, @ 5.2.
Disengage the auger brake.

Loosen the screws (2).
N
Pull out the auger brake lever (1).
N
Unscrew the nuts (3).
N
Lift the powerhead (5) off the clutch housing (4).

Disassembling and Assembling the Powerhead

Refer to 'Series 4180 Powerhead' service manual for
diagnosis and repair procedures on powerhead.

M5 (7,5 Nm / 66 lbf. in.)

Installing the Powerhead

Position the powerhead (5) on the clutch housing (4).
Fit the nuts (3) on the collar screws in the powerhead
(5) and tighten them down.
Push the auger brake lever (1) into place.
Tighten down the screws (2).
Install the control handle, @ 5.6.
Install handlebar together with control handle and
elbow, @ 5.7.
