Rear Panel Connections

The rear panel of the Prophet-5 has connectors for power, USB, MIDI,
audio, and pedals.
This rocker switch controls power on and off to the
1. Power On/Off—
Prophet-5.
Accepts a standard, grounded IEC power
2. AC Power Connector—
cord. Operates over a range of 100 to 240 volts and 50 to 60 Hz.
For bidirectional MIDI communication with a computer. The
3. USB—
Prophet-5 is a Class Compliant USB device and does not require addi-
tional drivers when used with Mac OS or Windows. See "Using USB" on
page 4 for more information.
Standard 5-pin MIDI DIN connectors for
4. MIDI In, Out, Thru—
communicating with MIDI-equipped devices.
Accepts a momentary, normally open or normally closed
5. Release—
footswitch to control sustain.
