Remove Obstacles from the Holes
of the Steam Wand
Note:
Even partially blocked holes may affect
the ability of the steam wand to produ-
ce sufficient foam volume.
1. Ensure the steam lever is in the cen-
tre OFF position, and switch OFF the
appliance (press POWER button). By
the handle, lift the steam wand to the
upper position.
2. Be aware that the steam wand could
still be hot, while unblocking the holes
of the steam wand tip. For this, use
the needle of the steam wand tip clea-
ning pin.
3. If the steam wand remains blocked,
with the Espresso Machine OFF,
unscrew the steam wand tip by hand.
4. Soak the steam wand tip together
with the steam wand, using a solution
(instructions below).Thereafter, rinse
all parts thoroughly.
5. Screw the tip back onto the steam
wand. Do not over tighten.
Tip:
The steam wand can be left immersed
in the milk jug filled with water when not
in use to reduce the risk of blockages.

CLEANING THE FILTER BASKET
AND PORTAFILTER
The filter basket and portafilter should be
rinsed under hot water after each coffee
making session to remove all residual cof-
fee oils.
If the holes in the filter basket become
blocked, dissolve a cleaning tablet in hot
water and soak the filter basket and porta-
filter in the solution for approx. 20 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly.
CLEANING THE SHOWER SCREEN
AND GROUP HEAD
Periodically, run hot water through the
group head with the filter basket and por-
tafilter in place, but without ground coffee.
This will remove any residual ground cof-
fee particles from the shower screen.
