This tape drive is shipped with active SCSI termination
enabled. If the drive is the last or only device on the
SCSI cable (as shown at left), you do not have to

termination on the tape drive by removing the active

• SCSI termination power : The drive is shipped with
termination power enabled, which is appropriate for
most installations. If you have problems accessing
your tape drive, look in your SCSI controller manual
to determine if you should disable termination
power by removing the termination power jumper
(see figure at left).
• Parity checking : The drive is shipped with parity-
checking enabled, which will work in most systems.
