2. Operation Procedure
2-1 Stitching and Folding Operations

2-1-2 Folding Section

(1) Set delivery guide according to sheet width
so that sheets stitched can be delivered
smoothly.
Provide a clearance 3 mm between edge of
sheet when stitching and folding operations
are performed.
Adjust clearance to 1 to 2 mm when only
folding operation is performed.
(2) Turn stopper ON/OFF knob to "ON"
position, and then install delivery conveyor
at the upper position.
(3) Set knife stopper at half length of sheet to
be run by turning arrow mark on machine
frame aligned with the figure of length on
knob.
NOTE
- A selected length on stitching unit scale is
not always in accord with the selected figure
on knife stopper adjusting knob because
stitching line is measured on trailing edge but
folding line is measure from leading edge.
- Install standard attachment of extension
stopper to knife stopper when the distance
between leading edge and folding line is less
than 140 mm. Subtract 50 mm from the
actual measure on knife stopper adjusting
knob when this attachment is installed.
(4) Set smooth roller at the right end position
temporarily.
(5) Press motor "ON" button, and then press
single stitch button. A set of sheets is
stitched and transported, and then leading
edge of sheets will reach knife stopper.
(6) Press motor stop button to stop machine.
(7) Set smooth roller as close as to trailing
edge of sheets to prevent sheets moving
back.
