5.1 Checking the Cabinet Environment
Purpose
This topic describes how to check the cabinet environment to ensure that the cabinet
environment is normal.
Steps
1. Check cable mounting.
2. Check the labels.
3. Check the rack appearance.
4. Clean the dust screens and the fan modules.
5. Check heat dissipation.
Reference Standards
1. In normal situations, power cables and signal cables should be mounted separately.
The cables should be mounted tidily and in order.
2. Generally, it is recommended to use knife-shaped labels (easy to view information and
keep for a long time). It is necessary to check whether the labels are pasted firmly and
whether the descriptions on the labels are correct.
If a label does not meet the requirements, change the label.
3. In normal situations, the rack appearance should be in good condition and not be
moldy. A blank filter panel should be installed on a spare slot.
4. The dust screens and the fans should be clean so that aeration and heat dissipation
of the cabinet door and the fan frame will not be affected.
If there is too much dust, please choose an appropriate time to do cleaning.
5. Generally, there is not much dust at the air inlets of the cabinet, and equipment heat
dissipation is not be affected.
If there is too much dust, clean the dust in an appropriate time.
