Checking Equipment Basic Information - Zte ZXR10 5900E Series Routine Maintenance

Steps
1. Check whether there are the antistatic ring handles in the cabinets.
2. Check whether there are the serial port cables in the cabinets.
Reference Standards
There should be one serial port cable and one antistatic ring handle at least in a cabinet.
Note:
The serial port cable of ZXR10 5900E and those of ZTE switches and Cisco switches are
interchangeable.

Purpose
This topic describes how to check equipment basic information, and view the equipment
service loads and the operation indicators to locate the hidden troubles.
Steps
1. Check the software version and the board in-position statuses.
2. Check alarm information.
3. Check the operational logs.
4. Check the exception files.
Reference Standards
1. Run the show version command to check the software version and the board in-position
statuses.
In normal situations, the software version and the equipment operating duration are
the same as those recorded by the office personnel. The installed boards are in Online
status.
If the information is not the same or there is any exception, it is necessary to find out the
cause immediately and need troubleshooting in accordance with the related guidance.
