4.1.3 Querying ARP Information

This section describes how to query the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) information of the
OT925-G.
Context
The ARP is used to resolve IP address into Media Access Control (MAC) address.
If two PCs on the network need to communicate with each other, they must know each other's
physical address, that is, MAC address. IP address is the PC address on the network layer. If the
packets on the network layer need to be sent to the destination PC, the physical address of the
destination PC must be obtained. Therefore, the IP address must be resolved into MAC address.
Here, the ARP protocol is required.
