Configuring the Multicast Service

This section describes how to configure the multicast service, including the multicast VLAN mode
and Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) mode.
Context
Multicast refers to the point to multipoint (PTM) communication mode in which the information
source sends information to the certain subset of all network nodes.
The OT925-G provides the video through multicast.
The multicast VLAN ID of the device must be consistent with the OLT configuration. Otherwise, the
multicast service cannot work.

Procedure
Click Advanced Setting > Multicast in the navigation tree to display the configuration page.
Enter the multicast VLAN ID in the Multicast VLAN ID text box.
Configure the IGMP Capture , the IGMP Mode , the IGMP QuickLeave and the IGMP
Encapsulation .
Click Management > Save/Reboot in the navigation tree, and then click Save/Reboot in the
right pane to reboot the device. The configuration takes effect only after the rebooting.
