Disk address changes after warm reboot of Oracle Linux 6.1

The disk address changes on Sun Fire X4270 M2 with Oracle Linux 6.1 after every system
warm reboot.
Affected hardware and software:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.1 and 6.2
Software releases 1.6 through 1.10.1
Workaround:
Append scsi_mod.scan=sync to the following kernel command-line parameter:
