Restoring Factory Defaults

Restore Defaults button is inside a hole on the back panel of the IP71. To
press the button, use a straightened paper clip or pin. Pressing the Restore
Defaults button restores all IP71 settings back to factory defaults. The button
works only after booting is complete, and the green light must be illuminated
to activate the button. The status light goes off while defaults are being
restored, and re-lights after defaults are restored and the IP71 begins to
reboot. It takes over 2 minutes to restore defaults. After the defaults are
restored and the IP71 has rebooted, you will be able to connect only through
the console.

Before You Begin

For simplicity, this guide assumes you are using a DSL ISP account. The IP71
also works with any Internet access device that supports an Ethernet interface,
such as routers that use analog, cable, ISDN, or T1 lines.
