Configuring IP71
4. Enter the username and password of the computer (if you select SCP)
where the new firmware is saved.
5. Click Submit.

Import and Export

To access Import/ Export, click Advanced > Import/ Export.
The Export feature allows you to export a device configuration. You might
want to export the existing configuration of your IP71 before you:
Upgrade the IP71 to new firmware

Reconfigure the device.
n
In such a situation, a backup of the IP71 configuration to your computer will
help reconfigure the device later. You can export (backup) the IP71
configuration using the Export function.The backed up configuration can be
restored with the Import function.
Note
If you export the existing configuration from IP71 v1.5 or earlier, and try to
import the same configuration into an IP71 upgraded to v2.0, all the
device configuration is restored except Check Point configuration.
You can Import or Export the IP71 configuration using following protocols:
SCP (Secure Copy Protocol)
n
TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol)
n
HTTP

Note
The terms import and restore, export and backup are used to mean the
same thing.
