(15) Single Line Device Interface - Recommended Method
The NEAX1000 does not provide Ring Generator Voltage or Message Waiting light supply. An external
Ring Generator may be installed, but there is no connector for interfacing a Message Waiting power supply.
It is therefore recommended that single line devices be interfaced to the system via Analog Port Adapters
with Ring, which are operating in Dual Port Mode. See
external Ring Generator, ensure that connection to output terminals of Ring Generator are in accordance
with National Electrical Code. Ring Generator shall be a UL-listed type.
SINGLE LINE DEVICE
Note:
When upper 4LENs of 8DLC, mounted in LT08, is used for Dual Port Mode Extension Assignment,
no system ports are lost. The lower 4 LENs of Virtual Slot LT09 are used for Station Assignment of
Analog Port Adapter Station.
