External applications

Empty sensor

External hardware is connected via the
Miele XCI box.
A suction lance contact can be used
to detect whether external liquid
detergent containers are empty. A
message appears if a container is
empty.
– Off (factory setting)
– Make contacts
The suction lances have a normally
open contact.
– Opener
The suction lances have a normally
closed contact.

Early warning counter

External hardware is connected via the
Miele XCI box.
An internal counter reports when an
external dispenser container is almost
empty. The counter in question then
has to be reset.
Supervisor level

Peak load signal

External hardware is connected via the
Miele XCI box.
The peak load cut-off function enables
the washing machine to be connected
to an energy management system.
When a signal is registered, the
washing machine's heater is switched
off for a short period.
The washing machine may only be
operated with a peak load system if this
system is connected to the washing
machine via the Miele XCI box.
– No function (factory setting)
– Peak load with 230V
– Peak load with 0V

Peak load prevention

The peak load cut-off function can be
deactivated with disinfection
programmes. When a signal is
registered, the washing machine's
heater is not switched off.
Factory setting: Off
