Preliminary In structions
I. Insert the M 1 module into the 7012 A/ D Converter
and install in any available plug·in compartment of a
7000·series oscilloscope.
2. Connect the oscilloscope to a power source that
meets the frequency and voltage requirements of the
oscilloscope power suppfy.
3.
Turn the oscilloscope power on and allow about
twenty minutes warmup time.
4. During the warmup period. set the controls as
follows:

Any controls not mentioned can be set as desired .

5. Connect the M 1 INPUT connectors together with a
short banana ·plug patch cord.
6. Set the oscilloscope readout
to
obtain a usable digital
display on Ihe CRT. This display should appear in the
upper graticule division.
7. The readout should read .0000 kV plus or minus one
count (-.0001 kV to +.0001 kV).

Set the MODE / RANGE control to RESISTANCE /
200
n.
9. The
readout should read within the limits of 00.00
n
to 00.01
n
(no polarity indicator).
10. Set the MODE / RANGE control to RESISTANCE/
2 kn.
11 . The readout should be within the limits of
.0000 Hlto .0001
kn.
12. Set the MODE/ RANGE control to RESISTANCE I
