5 Putting into operation

5.2 Mounting the wire guide

5.2.1 Liner

5.2.2 PA liner

For use of steel wires with undivided wire guide.
1 Lay down the BIKOX
contact tip from the torch neck.
2 Unscrew nut from the central connector or direct connector and slide liner
through the BIKOX
3 Screw down nut again, tighten using the ABIMIG wrench and cut off excess
length of the liner flush with the tip adaptor.
4 Screw in contact tip and gas nozzle.
For use of steel wires with divided wire guide.
1 Lay down the BIKOX
repluggable torch neck.
2 Unscrew nut from the central connector and slide liner through the BIKOX
cable assembly up to the retaining nipple.
3 Screw down nut again, tighten using the ABIMIG wrench and cut off excess
length at the handle threaded part so that it protrudes 2 mm.
4 Screw down rotating or repluggable torch neck again at the handle.
NOTE
• For PA liners of outer diameter 4.00 mm, the capillary tube in the
intermediate joining section must be replaced with a guide tube.
• For changeable and repluggable torch necks and torch necks that
cannot be changed, combined wire guides with integral brass liner are
used.
• For changeable torch necks, a neck-liner made of brass is used.
