5 Putting into operation

5.1 Equipping the torch

Torches ready for welding, which use the full variable range of modular options
®
of the ABIMIG
A T XX5 LW range of products.
The configurations can be assembled from all existing and compatible sub-
assemblies and elements for each torch size.
For each torch size, the following versions can be selected according to the
version code numbers:
• Contact tip type, material, wire diameter, gas nozzles screw or plug type
in all available nominal sizes
• Torch necks according to type, bending, length
• Wire guide according to welding wire type and torch length
• Handle, up/down, trigger lever length, cable support type

• BIKOX
lengths up to 8m.
• for welding wire 2.0 mm and 2.4 mm with undivided wire guide only
• Different machine connections for central or direct connector
DANGER
Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up
For the entire duration of maintenance, servicing, dismounting and repair
work, the following instructions must be adhered to:
• Switch off the power source and close off the gas supply.
• Pull the mains plug.
CAUTION
Risk of injury
Puncture wound may be puncture caused by electrode tip.
• Do not reach into the danger zone and wear protective gloves.
The torches are delivered fully equipped. If the torch is not ready for welding,
the following steps are necessary:
