Troubleshooting

Symptoms
Increased vibrations.
Poor cutting or
clogging of the mowing
unit.
Drive belt slips.
Under normal
operation, the mowing
unit tilts backwards
due to activation of the
breakback protection.

Cause
Uneven wear or damaged
parts in the mowing unit.
Dull or damaged blades.
Poorly adjusted drive belt.
Belts are wet.
Belts are worn.
Dissimilar belt length.
Poorly tightened or
damaged spring in the
breakback unit.
Local bumps, such as
impact with a hard
molehill.

Proposed solution
Replace worn elements with new
complete sets.
Replace dull or damaged parts
with new complete sets.
Blades that are dull on only one
side may only be remounted and
reused on the opposite disc,
which rotates in the opposite
direction.
Inspect and adjust the tightness.
Avoid mowing in rainy weather.
Replace with a new complete set
of belts.
Only use identical belts from the
same supplier.
Check and adjust the spring
tensioning and replace it if
damaged.
Reduce the speed and tilt the
mower unit backwards.
