Cause
Incorrect strain on the body.

lying/standing in the way,
wires/cables in the area of
movement, slippery surfaces.
The mower and its
surroundings.
The mower can eject plants,
dirt and stones.
Protruding mower parts, the
use of hand tools.
Moving parts, pulley, rotating
shaft, missing shields.
Incorrect mounting or
assembly; incorrect placement,
poor maintenance, leaving the
mower coupled to the tractor.
Mowing during varying
weather conditions.
Mower's rpm too high;
damaged, loose or vibrating
parts.

Protective measure
Practice correct lifting techniques,
ask others for help, use lifting
equipment such as a lifting jack
and/or winch.
Wear correct shoes, be cautious,
keep surroundings clean and tidy.
Position the mower correctly,
allow plenty of space around the
mower, organise the work
properly, be cautious.
Be cautious; mark off the danger
zone; it is forbidden to move
around the mower; no one may
be within a 50-metre radius of the
mower; wear protective
equipment: helmet, safety
goggles.
Wear personal protective
equipment: gloves, closed work
clothes, be very cautious.
Do not stand near or make
adjustments to the mower when it
is operating, be very cautious, do
not mow without shields.
Be very cautious, wear personal
protective equipment: safety
shoes; correct mower set-up, get
help from others, use lifting jack,
