Turn switch "OFF" and always remove plug from the power source before trou-
bleshooting.
Problem
Saw will not start
Blade does not come
up to speed
Excessive vibration
Cannot make square cut
when crosscutting
Cut binds, burns, stalls
motor when ripping
Cut not true at 90° or
45° positions
Tilt lock handle eleva-
tion wheel hard to move

Troubleshooting

Cause
Power cord is not plugged in.
Fuse or circuit breaker tripped. Replace fuse or reset tripped circuit
Cord damaged.
Burned out switch.
Extension cord too light or too
long.
Low house voltage.
Failure to tighten tilt lock han-
dle.
Blade out of balance.
Saw not mounted securely to
stand or workbench.
Arbor Nut not tight.
Miter Gauge not adjusted prop-
erly.
Dull blade with improper tooth
set.
Warped board.
Rip fence not parallel to blade.
Spreader out of alignment.
Alignment screws not adjusted
properly.
Blade tilt lock handle not loos-
ened when making tilt adjust-
ment.
Saw dust on depth screw
threads.
Corrective Action
Plug saw in.
breaker.
Have cord replaced by an Authorized
Bosch Service Center or Service Sta-
tion.
Have switch replaced by an Authorized
Bosch Service Center or Service Sta-
tion.
Replace with adequate cord.
Contact your electric company.
