2.1 Creating and configuring the STEP 7 Project
This topic applies only to the Microbox 427B-RTX/ -HMI/RTX and Panel PC 477B-HMI/RTX
and is not applicable for the Panel PC 477B-HMI.
You must create a project, add a SIMATIC PC Station to it, and configure the hardware
configuration to correspond to the default configuration of the Microbox 427B-RTX/ -
HMI/RTX and Panel PC 477B-HMI/RTX. You do not need to configure hardware in STEP 7
for the Panel PC 477B-HMI.
NOTICE
You can find some basic projects for your -RTX, -HMI and -HMI/RTX configurations in the
root of the SIMATIC Embedded PC Manual Collection CD.
To use the project, import the file "Microbox" in the SIMATIC Manager, by selecting from
the main menu: File > Retrieve
Hardware configuration
