Preface
Purpose of the Documentation
This documentation describes the unique features of the Microbox 427B-RTX/ -HMI/RTX
and Panel PC 477B-HMI/ -HMI/RTX products and the pre-installed system configuration.
This documentation also describes the following:
● Differences between WinAC RTX as described in the WinAC RTX documentation and the
● Differences between WinCC flexible as described in the WinCC flexible documentation
Prerequisites
This documentation is intended for engineers, programmers, and maintenance personnel
who have a general knowledge of programmable logic controllers. Persons using this
documentation also need knowledge of Windows XP / Windows XPembedded operating
systems, STEP 7 programming, and PC-based automation with WinAC RTX.
Scope
This document describes the features and the operation of the Microbox 427B-RTX/ -
HMI/RTX and Panel PC 477B-HMI/ -HMI/RTX products.
Changes Compared to the Previous Version
The topic "What's New?" in the Product Overview enumerates the new features of Microbox
427B-RTX/ -HMI/RTX and Panel PC 477B-HMI/ -HMI/RTX products.

The Microbox 427B-RTX/ -HMI/RTX and Panel PC 477B-HMI/ -HMI/RTX products
documentation resides on the Documentation CD. The documentation does not reside on
fixed storage media.
