The Microbox 427B-RTX/ -HMI/RTX and Panel PC 477B-HMI/ -HMI/RTX introduce new
hardware combinations and deliver pre-installation of all software and software license keys.
New hardware
The hardware of the Microbox 427B-RTX/ -HMI/RTX and Panel PC 477B-HMI/ -HMI/RTX
offers new configurations of processors and CompactFlash cards. All configurations include
a Profibus interface.
New software
The Microbox 427B-RTX/ -HMI/RTX and Panel PC 477B-HMI/ -HMI/RTX use the new
Windows XP Embedded SP2 Feature Pack 2007, WinAC RTX 2005 SP2, and WinCC
flexible 2007 software packages.
More retentive memory
128 Kbytes of internal NVRAM in combination with WinAC RTX are now available.
New for WinAC RTX 2005 SP2
The following new WinAC RTX 2005 SP2 feature is of special interest:
● Support of Isochronous Mode with the CP 5611: WinAC RTX 2005 SP2 extends support
● Use of LEDs on SIMATIC Microbox PC 427B-RTX/ -HMI/RTX and Panel PC 477B-
● Maximum Number of Timers / Counters: The maximum number of timers / counters

New for WinCC flexible RT 2007
The following new WinCC flexible RT 2007 features are of special interest:
● New communication channel for Ethernet/IP (for Allen Bradley)
