5.3 Starting the engine.
ATTENTION!
Before starting the engine check that all outlets are taken off (if the loads are connected there is
the risk of being damaged) and the welding cables are not in contact with each other and / or with
the piece to be welded. When the machine is running the auxiliary power outlets and the welding
sockets are live.
1) To start a cold engine, pull the choke knob out to the CLOSED position.
use the choke if the engine is warm or the air temperature is high.
2) Move the starter key to the START position. When the engine starts release
the key and return it to the RUN position or to RUN / IDLE position to save
fuel.

If the engine fails to start within 5 seconds, release the key, and wait at least 10 seconds before
operating the starter again. Using the electric starter for more than 5 seconds at a time will overheat
the starter motor and can damage it.
