Hydraulic fan transmission

FAULT
Max. revolutions cannot be obtained.
Noisy fan transmission.
Formation of foam in oil tank.
Fan speed will not stay at adjusted
level.
Fan r.p.m. control does not start up.
Oil leak from pump/motor shaft seal
(seal pressed out).
PROBABLE CAUSE
Tractor P.T.O. speed is lower than 540 r.p.m.
(reading failure on tractometer).
Feed pressure too low.
Pump/motor is worn.
Wrong oil quality (foam).
Feed pressure too low.
Oil filter is clogged (vacuummeter indicator
in the red area).
Pump/motor is worn.
Wrong oil quality (foam).
Mixture of hydraulic oil and other quality
(e.g. universal oil).
Oil change interval not kept.
Leak on the pump suction line.
No signal from speed sensor at the fan.
Bad / corroded electrical connections.
Blown fuse(s).
Drain hoses from motor/pump housing is
blocked.
Too much pressure in pump/motor housing
(pump/motor worn).
7 - Fault finding
CONTROL/REMEDY
Check tractor's P.T.O. r.p.m.
Check tractometer.
Adjust feed pressure to correct setting.
Get transmission checked by your HARDI dealer.
Change oil to correct quality.
Adjust feed pressure.
Change oil filter.
Get transmission checked by your HARDI dealer.
Change oil to correct quality.
Change oil to correct quality.
Change oil to fresh clean oil of correct quality.
Check hydraulic pump suction line for leaks.
Check the wire connection between sensor and actuator for
damages.
Check power supply and fuse.
Check the drain hose(s) for bendings, damages and proper
attachment.
Get transmission checked by your HARDI dealer.
