8. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for all other installed COM transceivers (if applicable).
9. If an installed COM supports 8.33 MHz channel spacing, increase the transmit period to 35
seconds and repeat steps 3 through 5 for the following frequencies:
121.185 MHz
121.190 MHz
130.285 MHz
131.290 MHz
10. Repeat step 7 for all other installed COM transceivers supporting 8.33 MHz channel spacing (if
applicable).
OAT Test (GAD 13)

This test is required when a GAD 13 has been installed with the G5, perform only applicable steps to the
G5 installation.
1. Apply power to the aircraft and aircraft systems and allow the aircraft systems to initialize.
2. Once G5(s) have initialized, verify on the ADI (if installed):
a. OAT information on ADI is valid and within ±1.5°C (±2.7°F) of ambient air temperature.
b. DENSITY ALT is displayed in the lower right corner.
c. TAS is correct given the current aircraft configuration.
Note: TAS will display as "--" if aircraft is stationary.
