BioRobot M48 for any particular use, since its performance characteristics have not been validated for any specific organism. The BioRobot M48 may be used in clinical diagnostic laboratory systems after the laboratory has validated their complete system as required by CLIA ‘88 regulations in the U.S.
This table covers the general level of competence and training necessary for transportation, installation, use, maintenance, and servicing of the BioRobot M48. QIAGEN provides training with the initial installation of the BioRobot M48. For additional training, contact QIAGEN Technical Services.
The user selects a protocol in the QIAsoft M software and follows the on-screen instructions to load samples, reagents, and labware onto the worktable of the BioRobot M48. The user then closes the workstation door and starts the protocol, which provides all the necessary instructions for the BioRobot M48 to carry out the automated nucleic acid purification.

Greasing the O-rings Greasing the O-rings of the pipettor head is required during the weekly maintenance procedure. 1.
