3.2.2.4 Trusted Computing
Trusted Computing is a technology developed and promoted by the Trusted Comput-
ing Group. With Trusted Computing, the computer will consistently behave in
expected ways, and those behaviors will be enforced by computer hardware and
software. Enforcing this behavior is achieved by loading the hardware with a unique
encryption key inaccessible to the rest of the system.
Security Device Support
This sub-menu will allow you to enable/disable Trusted Platform Module (TPM) sup-
port, and to configure the TPM state. Select Trusted Computing and press Enter to
access the sub-menu. Press Enter to access the TPM support menu and select
Enable to display the full TPM configuration menu.
