Remove the cartridge.
 Do not place the unit on its side or upside
down with the cartridge removed (since
water may get inside the unit and cause
trouble).

Put the end of the water supply hose
at a position lower than the bottom of
the unit, and
drain off the water inside the
hose.
 Disconnect the acidic water and drain
hoses from the acidic water stand, and
put them at a position lower than the
bottom of the unit.
 Return the cap and cartridge to their
original positions.
Important
 Not all the water may be adequately drained off in this process so factor in water leaks and pack the
Alkaline Ionizer accordingly when transporting it.

When not in use for a long time

If you will not use this unit for a week or more, make sure to follow the instructions below.

Remove the cartridge from the unit (P. EN37), put it inside a
plastic bag, and then store the bag in the refrigerator.
 Remove the air from the bag before closing it.

Disconnect the power plug.
 To use this unit again
1) Install the cartridge. (P. EN37)
2) Connect the power plug.
3) Run water through the Alkaline Ionizer for about 3 minutes.
 If you are not going to use the Alkaline Ionizer for a month or more, the water inside the
cartridge may have gone bad so it is recommended that you replace the cartridge.
