1. Remove the battery.
2. Remove the base cover.
3. Remove the optical drive.
4. Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 3 in

Procedure

Steps
1. Remove the screw that secures the I/O board to the palm-rest assembly.
2. Lift the I/O board and turn it over.
3. Lift the latch and disconnect the I/O-board cable from the I/O board.
4. Lift the I/O board off the palm-rest assembly.
