9.3 DCS210+ Mainline Tracks, voltage setting

Figure 3 shows the DCS210+ set for HO track voltage setting. Using the
PS615, the track voltage will be about 15V, and the N setting about 12.6V. To
better match track voltages with other boosters, you can adjust the track voltage
of the each of the N/HO/G settings, up to the DC input voltage, by the follow-
ing steps:
1. Remove connections from RA and RB track terminals. Connect the DT602
or other compatible throttle and select Locomotive address 00.
2. Set the SCALE switch to the track voltage to modify; N, HO or O/G.
3. Set the MODE switch to the OP setting. The track STATUS led should
go off and the PWR/PROG leds blink alternately, indicating Option setup
mode
4. Briefly press the small LOCO RESET button below the SCALE switch.
5. To lower track voltage: select REVERSE for the loco 00 and then bump up
the speed setting to lower the track voltage. If loco 00 is in FORWARD,
increasing speed will increase track voltage. Speed 00 will select default
factory voltage for that scale setting.
6. Press the EZ RTS button below the MODE switch to save the new track
voltage setting for the selected scale. While the voltage is adjusted within
the range allowed for that setting, the DCS210+ will beep every second.
7. Restore the MODE switch to RUN position to end and save adjustment.
If you use an alternate DC supply to power the DCS210+
make sure at a minimum it can provide 5 Amps of DC current
under load, otherwise the Booster may not reliably shutdown
on a track short-circuit.
Ensure that the RA/RB bus wires are e.g. 12gage, and there
are adequate feeders up to the rails to detect and get shut-
down beeps on any track shorts around the layout.
When adding boosters to the system, ensure the RA/RB connection polarity
matches at the double gaps between power districts, and be sure to add an
e.g. 12gage ground wire from the DCS210+ "GR" center terminal to the other
booster grounds.

9.4 DCS210+ USB connection

The DCS210+ can connect to a PC USB port, and will enumerate as a COM/
Serial port, which will allow compatible apps to access the Evolution system
capabilities.
1. Connect the powered DCS210+ to a compatible PC using the provided
USB cable and B type socket on the DCS210+ front.
2. A successful USB connection [or enumeration] will light up a blue led
above the USB connector. This means the PC has a new COM port that
can be selected and used by a compatible application/program.
