The Digitrax system reduces and simplifies layout wiring. There are many different combinations of Digitrax components that can be used to set up a layout control system that is right for you. 3.0 Operating on batteries without LocoNet cable All DT602 models can operate unplugged in IR tetherless (without wires) mode if they detect Digitrax Infra-Red (IR) capability when first plugged into a working LocoNet. The DT602D can additionally operate in wireless Digitrax Duplex mode if it detects Duplex capability when first plugged into LocoNet. -

“default” address “03”. This means that when you take a Digitrax decoder out of the package and install it in your loco, you can select address “03” on your throttle and run the decoder. -

To avoid heat build up in your locos without decoders, Digitrax recommends that analog locos NOT be left sitting on DCC powered track for long periods of time when they are not running. -
