ers are equipped with an automatic by-pass.
9 After removing the packaging, check the integrity and complete-
ness of the supply and, otherwise, contact the Agency that sold
the boiler.
9 The installation of the START CONDENS IS boiler must be per-
formed by a qualified company in accordance with current regu-
lations that will issue the owner with the installation declaration
of conformity on completion of the work, in compliance with the
applicable Standards and the instructions supplied by r in
the present instruction booklet.
9 The installer must instruct the user about the operation of the
appliance and about essential safety regulations.
9 The boiler must be destined for the intended use for which it
was purposely designed. The manufacturer accepts no liability
within or without the contract for any damage caused to people,
animals and property due to installation, adjustment and mainte-
nance errors or to improper use.
9 In case of water leakage, close the water supply and immedi-
ately contact the Technical Assistance Service or professionally
qualified personnel.
9 Periodically check that the operating pressure of the hydraulic
system is comprised between 1 and 1.5 bar. If this is not the
case, charge the system as indicated in the specific chapter. In
the event of frequent drops in pressure, call the Technical Assis-
tance Centre or other qualified professionals.
9 Not using the boiler for an extended period of time involves the
execution of at least the following operations:
• Turn the main appliance switch and the main system switch
to "off"
• Close the fuel and water taps of the heating system
• Drain the heating and domestic hot water circuits if there is a
risk of freezing.
9 The boiler maintenance must be carried out at least once a year.
9 This booklet and that of the User are an integral part of the ap-
pliance and therefore should be carefully preserved and should
always accompany the boiler even when it is sold to another
owner or user or when transferred to another system. In case of
loss or damage, please contact your local Technical Assistance
Service for a new copy.
9 The boilers are constructed so as to protect both the user and
the installer from any accidents. After each intervention on the
product, pay special attention to the electrical connections, es-
pecially the stripped parts of the wires, which must not protrude
from the terminal board in any way.
9 Dispose of all the packaging materials in the suitable containers
at the corresponding collection centres.
9 Dispose of waste by being careful not to harm human health and
without employing procedures or methods which may damage
the environment.
9 At the end of its life, the product should be not be disposed of
as solid urban waste, but rather it should be handed over to a
differentiated waste collection centre.
9 Regularly check that the discharge manifold is not blocked by
solid residues that might prevent the outflow of condensate wa-
ter.
9 Sealing of the condensate drainage connection line must be
guaranteed.
9 The intervention of the safety devices indicates a boiler mal-
function, therefore immediately contact the Technical Assistance
Service.
9 Replacement of safety devices must be performed by the Tech-
nical Assistance Service, by exclusively using original manufac-
turer components and referring to the spare parts list accompa-
nying the boiler.

1.3 - Boiler description
START CONDENS IS is a type C condensing wall-hung boiler able
to operate in different conditions through a set of jumpers on the
electronic card (refer to that described in the paragraph "Boiler Con-
figuration"):
MODE A: only heating. The boiler does not supply domestic hot
water.
MODE B: heating only with a thermostatically controlled external
storage tank connected: in this condition, with every heat request
from the storage tank thermostat, the boiler supplies hot water for
the preparation of the domestic hot water.
MODE C: heating only, with the connection of an external storage
tank (accessory kit available upon request) (managed by a temper-
ature probe) for preparing domestic hot water.
These are electronically controlled boilers with automatic ignition,
ionisation flame check and with proportional control system of the
gas and air flows.
